Reporting to the Exploration Supervisor, you will be part of Geology Department at the Macassa Mine. Your primary responsibilities will include processing, sampling and cutting diamond drill core. In this role, you will be expected to support departmental goals and objectives while upholding Agnico Eagle’s core values, and maintaining strict adherence to Health & Safety standards, and environmental stewardship
- Diagnose and maintain essential machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation;
- Load, move, and organize drill core from pallets, tables and racks using appropriate equipment;
- Prepare and cut core samples accurately using a core saw;
- Bag cut core, whole core samples, or pulps in accordance with established procedures;
- Maintain inventory and organizational documentation;
- Identify and report errors promptly, and implement corrective actions under proper guidance;
- Work closely with geologists, contractors, and team members to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule;
- Maintain good housekeeping at all times, ensure proper PPE and tools are used for all tasks;
- Operate forklift as per proper training.
- Minimum Grade 12 Dipolma or GED;
- Valid Driver’s License;
- Previous experience involved with handling and cutting drill core in a mine or exploration setting;
- Good communication skills, literacy and numeracy skills;
- Self starter with the ability to manage repetitive tasks with minimal supervision;
- Physically fit with ability to lift upwards of 55 lbs;
- Proven commitment to safety, health and environmental best practice;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
Minimum Salary : $63,000CAD Maximum Salary : $84,000CAD
