Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food industry practices are highly valued. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during service, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed.
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy hours.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry.
