The Opportunity:
Individuals will build and broaden their knowledge of the construction industry through working with clients to provide high quality service and products to meet client’s business needs. In this role, the Sales Representative will be responsible for engaging with prospective and existing clients through various communication channels to promote our products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive client experience in an efficient, accurate and professional manner
- Process incoming sales orders whether in person, by email or over the phone
- Source and quote products for customers
- Conduct outbound telemarketing calls to generate new leads and nurture existing client relationships
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the products and their application(s) and communicate product features and benefits clearly
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product offerings, and competitive landscape
- Perform physical inventory counts and cycle counts
- Be mindful of stock levels and coordinate purchases
- Arrange shipping for inbound and outbound products as required
- Assist with receiving products or staging orders as required
Qualifications / Skill Set
- Customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up capabilities
- Continuous and motivated learner
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to perform basic calculations
- Excellent problem-solving skill
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Previous experience in a sales role or customer service
- Comfortable using Microsoft products - outlook, excel and word
- Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Able to lift 25 Kg
Preference will be given to those with construction related experience in sales, purchasing and logistics
