POSITION SCOPE
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing required general maintenance on equipment, assisting with basic repairs, and supporting general upkeep of the fleet and shop. This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance
-
Coordinate convenient preventative maintenance service scheduling and aid Operations team to perform oil changes, grease units, and perform pump maintenance as per Magnum’s Preventative Maintenance program.

Maintain mobile lube skid ensuring levels are at capacity and component inspections are maintained to various service intervals.

Complete documentation as directed, including eMaint work orders, maintenance reports, and other records.

Interior detailing of Magnum vehicles including, but is not limited to, cleaning waste, debris and dirt from the floor, seats, dashboard, trims, moldings, windows, mirrors, door frames and instrument panels.

Exterior detailing of Magnum vehicles including, but is not limited to, decal installation, cleaning all dirt, grease and tar from body, wheels, windows, mirrors, headlights, brake lights and taillights, and polish chrome and trim.

Clean and maintain shop/yard(s) and perform light maintenance as directed.

Use a variety of cleaning equipment and solutions, as needed.

Assist in training of operations personnel specific to maintenance techniques.

Ensure that safety standards are maintained while performing duties.

Ensure that the work environment areas are free of hazardous objects and substances.
General

Participate in training and development activities.

Other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required
-
Driver’s license (non-graduated) with a clean driver’s abstract/record.

Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.

Able to work overtime and travel.

Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.

Assets
-
Enrolled in a related trade program (Alberta Heavy Equipment Technician, Saskatchewan Truck and Transport Mechanic, or State Automotive or Diesel Technology) with some related experience.

Valid class 3 or 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver’s license.

High degree of flexibility and adaptable to changing priorities.
