Security, Access Control and CCTV Technician

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Security Technician to run projects from start to finish and provide customer support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Installation of CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion systems and devices; service and maintenance of such as required (inclusive of pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting)
· Support, lead, and mentor team members
· Design systems and layout
· Provide customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiries
· Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism
· Complete detailed and accurate paperwork
· Perform other tasks as required[GU1]
· Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary
· The individual filling this role must be comfortable with traveling within Edmonton, surrounding areas and beyond.
· The individual filling this role must be comfortable working in a safety sensitive environment and have a safety first mindset
Qualifications:
· Minimum of three(3) to five(5) years’ experience with integrated security systems
· Able to work independently – self starter with minimal supervision
· Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
· Strong Customer skills
· Ability to work under pressure/tight timelines
· Valid Drivers license with clean abstract over the last 5 years
· Ability to work at heights
· History of Fall arrest and lift training
· Ability to read Blue prints and specifications
· Strong technical orientation including knowledge of computers and networking
· One or more certificates as it relates to:
o Kantech, Gallagher, CDVI, Keyscan ICT,
o Hikvision, Digital Watchdog, Avigilon, Axis, Milestone, Inaxsys
o DSC: Neo, Powerseries; Honeywell, Ajax
Physical Demands:
· Spend majority of the day walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
· Required to carry equipment weighing from 25 to 50lbs for short distances
Wage: Based upon experience $25-$45/hr
