Main Purpose of the Job:
Primary duties include general production labour activities under the direction of a mentor employee that include product assembly and various machine operation actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Setup and change product materials in accordance with the production plan
· Continuously maintain or exceed production efficiency goals
· Operate or tend automatic or multi-purpose machines including wire looms to produce metal parts and metal products such as wire screening, fencing, tinware, metal baskets, racks, hooks, metal tubing and similar articles
· Fit and assemble components using hand and power tools
· Clean, polish, file or otherwise finish products
· Check products for quality and other specifications
· May clean and lubricate machinery
· Work in accordance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
· Other duties may be assigned accordingly
Qualifications:
· Secondary School Diploma or higher
· Previous manufacturing experience
· Aptitude for Math, problem solving, computer and mechanics
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work and communicate well with others
· Proficiency with hand tools
· Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Working Conditions
· Machine Operators almost always work indoors, in a warehouse setting, work outdoors on rare occasions to work in special working conditions.
· Dusty working environment
· Work near co-workers, but usually have a few feet of space
· Wear gloves, hard hats or other protective attire

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
