Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server/Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring timely food and beverage delivery, and supporting the overall dining experience. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The Server/Runner plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for guests and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and promptly
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed to ensure quality presentation
- Clear tables efficiently and maintain cleanliness in dining areas
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and payments
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Refill drinks, deliver additional orders, and respond to guest inquiries promptly
- Support kitchen staff with food handling, prep, or other tasks when necessary
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with serving, cashiering, or food preparation roles is advantageous
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Experience in food safety practices and handling food safely is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
