We are an internationally renowned industrial steel fabricator and steel bending company. Established in 1974, in the Stoney Creek / Hamilton area serving the energy, resources, primary metals, marine, construction, architectural, and environmental industries.
We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Shipper/Receiver to work at our 930 Arvin Stoney Creek location. The dayshift will consist of 4 - 10 hour shifts Mon - Thursday for 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the afternoon shift will be 4:00 pm to 1:30 am, with opportunity for overtime. They will not be rotating shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The successful candidate will:
- Work in compliance with Kubes Steel Inc. Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its Regulations.
- Ensure all products are moved, safely and efficiently
- Load and unload tractor trailers and other transport vehicles
- Maintain a clean working environment, ensure regular check up and maintenance on lift trucks and combi-lifts
- Be able to do other plant duties as required based on workload.
Requirements:
- 3-5 Experience in operating a lift truck, combi-lift and remote controlled overhead crane.
- The ability to judge and assess loads based on weight and dimensions
- Must be able to manage time and be safety conscious at all time.
