On Call Service Center is looking for Traffic Control Personnel to join our Traffic Control team. Traffic Control Personnel coordinate and communicate with our office staff, supervisors, and contractors to create safe and effective operations. Our traffic controllers ensure a safe environment by implementing approved plans to minimize and remove delays and hazards to the public and workers as well as mentoring workers new to the field.
Position: Part Time/Casual to Full Time, ability to work long hours (10-12 hours)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties include:
· Complete requested and supplied courses and orientations
· Implement traffic management plans
· Direct and control traffic (including AFAD's)
· Maintain signs and equipment
· Assess and adapt to changing conditions
· Documentation and analysis of sites
Our ideal candidate will have experience/education in the following programs:
· Valid Class 5 drivers’ license is an asset
· Valid BC Traffic Control Certificate
· No previous experience required, on site mentoring and training will be provided to new employees
