Carpenter – Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in residential construction, including framing, restoration, installation, and custom fabrication. This role requires a high standard of workmanship, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and finishes using wood and other building materials.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform framing of walls, floors, roofs, and structural components
- Restore and repair existing structures to meet safety standards and project specifications
- Install siding, drywall, flooring, and other finish materials
- Fabricate and install custom woodwork and fixtures
- Assist with basic electrical and plumbing tasks as required during renovations
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure proper air/vapour sealing and durability
- Perform material handling and heavy lifting as required on job sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans accurately
- Work closely with other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and to spec
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential construction or renovations
- Strong knowledge of framing, carpentry methods, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and execute from blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with siding, drywall, and finishing work
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems (asset, not required)
- Physically capable of lifting materials and working on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, with good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license and transportation to job sites preferred

Pay: $18.00-$32.00 per hour
