Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Labourer/Framer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with framing projects, working with various building materials, and supporting the overall construction process. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow schematics and blueprints, and experience with a variety of tools and construction techniques. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in carpentry, concrete forming, and heavy equipment operation within a dynamic work environment.
Duties
- Assist in framing structures according to blueprints and schematics
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks as needed
- Support installation of siding, roofing, and other exterior elements
- Conduct demolition or restoration work as required on job sites
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement throughout the construction site
- Use woodworking skills for framing, trimming, and custom projects
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Assist with welding tasks when necessary to support structural integrity
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate project execution
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation is preferred
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking techniques is essential
