An established outpatient clinic in Leduc, Alberta is seeking a Physician or Psychiatrist with an interest in Addiction Medicine to join our growing healthcare team. Physicians will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinic providing care to individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical and psychiatric assessments for patients with substance use disorders
- Diagnose and treat addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor medications, including opioid agonist therapy (OAT) when appropriate
- Provide follow-up care and ongoing patient management
- Collaborate with clinic staff including counselors, nurses, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Physician or Psychiatrist eligible for licensure in Alberta
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
- Experience or interest in Addiction Medicine
- Strong clinical and communication skills
