Nu-Tech Precision Metals is a specialty extrusion company located in Arnprior Ontario thirty minutes west of Kanata. Supplying to Nuclear, Aerospace, Defense, Chemical and Medical industries, we have a strong history of excellence and have supported the Canadian Nuclear Industry since its very beginning. As our company is growing, we are seeking qualified individual(s) to join our team supporting production in the following areas:
Electrician
Nu-Tech Precision Metals is seeking a licensed electrician on a full or part-time basis.
The candidate will be or could be licensed (442A/309A) in Ontario. Skills and experience in the following areas are preferred:
- Perform routine, preventive, and predictive electrical maintenance on production equipment and facility electrical systems
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, VFDs, control devices, sensors, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLC systems (Allen Bradley), motor controls, safety circuits, and relays
- Diagnose faults using electrical schematics, ladder logic, equipment manuals, and appropriate test instruments
- Work safely with three-phase electrical distribution systems up to and including 600V, including switchgear, transformers, and disconnects
- Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, ESA requirements, and site health and safety policies
- Complete accurate documentation for work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities
Millwright
Nu-Tech is also seeking a licensed Millwright (433A). Associated skills and routine duties would include the following:
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Repair or replace defective machinery components within equipment (pumps/compressors, gearboxes, fans/blowers, lathes)
- Perform routine preventative maintenance work on equipment
- Installation of machinery and equipment
- Fabricate/welding of required parts and components as required
- Experience with hoisting and lifting equipment (overhead cranes, jib hoists)
Preference will be given to a dual qualified individuals. Those with singular qualifications however are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate(s) will have good attention to detail, good communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work within a team environment. Knowledge of OH&S regulations is a positive.
