Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper & Reassembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for refinishing, assisting with body repair processes, and reassembling vehicles to manufacturer standards following repairs. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains a clean and organized work area, and works efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Vehicle Preparation
- Sand, feather-edge, and prepare repaired panels for primer and paint.
- Mask and protect vehicle surfaces prior to refinishing.
- Apply primers, sealers, and other materials as required.
- Perform final cleaning and inspection before vehicles enter the paint booth.
- Identify and report any repair deficiencies prior to refinishing.
Vehicle Disassembly & Reassembly
- Remove and reinstall body panels, moldings, trim, lights, bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and other components.
- Reassemble vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.
- Ensure proper fit, finish, and functionality of all reinstalled parts.
- Verify operation of electrical components, sensors, and accessories after reassembly.
- Assist technicians with vehicle teardown and damage assessment as required.
Quality Control
- Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet shop and manufacturer standards.
- Report any concerns or additional repair requirements to management.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting production deadlines.
Shop Maintenance & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
- Assist with general shop duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive body repair, vehicle preparation, or collision repair preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive body components and vehicle construction.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and sanding equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
