We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our construction team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in roofing, carpentry, or general construction to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Duties
- Install new roofing materials on various types of buildings according to project specifications and safety guidelines
- Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to extend the lifespan of roofs
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and utility knives to perform installation and repair tasks
- Read and interpret basic blueprints to accurately execute roofing plans
- Perform caulking around flashing and seams to ensure waterproofing integrity
- Conduct heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to assist with carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural support is desired
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in roofing and construction work
- Prior roofing, construction or handyman experience is highly desirable
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing ladders
- Experience working with at least 1 type of roofing material, such as shingles, metal panels, cedar, tile or membranes
- Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
