We are seeking a talented Texture Artist to create visually compelling textures and shaders that bring our characters, props, and environments to life.
Role Title: Texture Artist
Reporting to: Texture Supervisor (Team Lead)
Purpose: Why you’re here at Brown Bag Films
To create textures & shaders based on the visual and narrative requirements from the Art direc-tor and episodic director while working within the technical specifications of the show.
Delivery: What you produce
Artistically and technically accurate textures & shaders in collaboration with the Art Department
Pipeline and IT tickets
3D turntable renders
Measurements: How we measure it
Completion of tasks within agreed schedule.
Handling of revisions and tweaks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
What you are regularly responsible for doing:
Completing textures & shaders in various styles within the agreed time allowed.
Proactively problem solving; creating the IT and pipeline tickets to address any technical prob-lems for the department.
Logging time into time logging software daily.
Contributing to best practices and pipeline within in the studio.
Reviewing own assets and shots and that of the Texture team (internal and overseas) at dailies with the Texture Lead and the production team.
Collaborating in animatic reviews.
Key Requirements
Things that help you do your job (what is essential & what is desirable)
Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of the CG pipeline and how it works to understand what is needed from the Texture Dept.
Experience:
Either general training in CG animation or self-taught. 2D colour experience (desirable).
Technical Skills:
Experience creating Textures using photoshop or any 3D painting software Maya skills (desirable).

The salary range for this role is $65,000 – $75,000 per year.
