Job Summary
Treasured Beginnings Childcare Montessori is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and Early Childhood Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 18 months to 6 years. You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curricula and engaging activities that promote learning through play.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the developmental needs of children aged 18 months to 6 years.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued and respected.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging curiosity and creativity through interactive learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational program and share best practices.
- Maintain organized classroom materials and resources.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) certification from the College of Early Childhood Educators (Ontario) is required.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children (18 months to 6 years) in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, with familiarity in Montessori methods being a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations for documentation and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong writing skills for lesson planning, documentation, and family communications.
