Join us as our Bag Machine Operator!
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Bag Machine Operator will work towards increasing efficiencies to operate and adjust modern bag making machines. The candidate will be responsible to achieve daily production targets while preserving quality according to customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Weber and Garant Machines, packaging at required dial speeds
- Roll preparation
- Re-web machine
- Machine Adjustments such as adjust slits, adjust/replace tucking blades, adjust and/or replace spots, change coarse/fine knives, adjusting bag width and length, cut and install correct bottom pasters, maintain glue levels and spots
- ShopFloor software, labelling, counting and palletizing
- Machine Cleaning
- Production Target Achievement
- Documentation and Reporting
- Quality Control & Assurance
- Identify and report variations and deviations
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing industry, experience on similar machines is preferred
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to lift up-to 50 lbs
- Work Safely in accordance with all corporate and legislative Health & Safety standards and policies.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong time management skills with a reputation for punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to problem solve
- Collaborative attitude with the ability to interact effectively with management and colleagues.
- Attention to detail to accurately read production sheets, sample boards and schedule lists
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Shifts: 3-shift rotation (Days 7am-3pm, Afternoons 3pm-11pm, Midnights 11pm-7am)
Compensation: $17.60-$21CAD per hour
The compensation range listed reflects the expected compensation for the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual skills and experience.
