Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided to the right candidate. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation when necessary and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Address guest inquiries promptly and resolve any issues professionally
- Support team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant industry preferred but not required; training available for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
