Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store standards to drive sales and operational efficiency. Bilingual abilities and prior retail management experience are highly valued to support diverse customer needs and team coordination.
Duties
- Lead and supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Manage team members through effective scheduling, training, and development initiatives to enhance performance.
- Oversee customer service interactions, resolving issues promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales activities, assist with merchandising, pricing strategies, and POS transactions to maximize revenue.
- Handle cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering duties and balancing registers at shift end.
- Coordinate purchasing and inventory management to maintain stock levels and reduce shrinkage.
- Conduct recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in onboarding processes.
- Manage administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, and record keeping.
- Implement marketing strategies within the store to attract customers and increase sales.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or team management experience in retail or related fields.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, merchandising, pricing, and sales management.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development, budgeting, and store management is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and payroll processing.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies within retail environments is a plus.
