Hiring for General Laborers
Shean Concrete and Construction is a small business located in Mitchell, ON. We are fast-paced, rewarding, and challenging.
We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Concrete and Construction Worker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work well in a team, and commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Form, pour, and finish concrete for a variety of construction projects including foundations, walls, floors, and sidewalks. We specialize in barns and commercial buildings.
- Operate and maintain a variety of concrete equipment and tools, including saws, drills, and trowels
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Assist with other construction tasks as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and regulation to ensure a safe work environment for all team members
- Maintain a clean and organized job site at all times
- Follow instructions and participate in a team environment
Requirements:
- Must be able to commute to to our shop located in Mitchell daily
- Required frequent travel to job sites throughout Ontario, and willing to spend extended periods of time away. Accommodations, and food allowance provided.
- General Laborer- Minimum 2 years of experience in concrete/construction work.
- Lead hand- MUST have minimum 5 years experience as a Lead hand for a concrete/construction site.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, placing and finishing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work long hours and heavy lifting
- Ability to operate and maintain a variety of construction equipment and tools
- Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work
- Valid Drivers license to drive work vehicles to and from job sites
