MUST BE A JOURNEYPERSON PLUMBER
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive mechanical knowledge and a strong background in plumbing systems. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, power tools, blueprint reading, and schematics to deliver high-quality workmanship. A commitment to safety, heavy lifting capabilities, and the ability to interpret technical drawings are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for accurate installation
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other necessary construction tools safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to pipe sections, fixtures, and other materials
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation
- Assist with assembly and installation of plumbing components within building frameworks
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure project specifications are met on time and within safety standards
- Troubleshoot issues using technical schematics and diagrams to identify root causes of system failures
- Maintain a clean work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Woman Plumber certification or equivalent experience in plumbing trades
- Proven experience with mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Strong understanding of construction practices, carpentry basics, and blueprint interpretation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) as required by project needs
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
- Knowledge of safety standards related to plumbing, construction sites, and heavy machinery operation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical diagrams accurately
- Physical stamina to work in various environments requiring standing, bending, lifting, and climbing as needed
