We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to join the culinary team at Porch on 17th!! The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, along with proven leadership skills. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and high-level creativity
- Oversee food handling and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Develop new recipes and seasonal menu offerings with the executive chef to keep the dining experience fresh and engaging
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their culinary skills and service quality
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service and guest satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, taste, and consistency
- Uphold all hospitality industry standards related to food safety, sanitation, and customer service
Experience
- HIGH LEVEL experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Experience managing a team within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong background in restaurant management, including inventory control and staff training
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety procedures is essential
- Previous kitchen experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Familiarity with serving standards and customer service excellence in the food industry

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
