The Unit Manager is responsible for the day-to-day unit operation including direct supervision of unit staff on an inpatient surgical unit. This role interacts with physicians, nursing staff, other unit staff, and other departments and interdisciplinary team members on a daily basis. The position facilitates and fosters interdisciplinary participation in patient care activities and coaches, mentors, motivates and empowers clinical staff. The Unit Manager creates a climate of interdepartmental respect and collaboration, and adheres and models the Covenant Health mission, vision and values. Current CRNA registration. Current Heart and Stroke BLS Certification (Level C). Baccalaureate degree in nursing. Minimum three (3) years of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting.
