The BC Northern Real Estate Board is seeking a part-time Receptionist/MLS® Data Entry Clerk to handle real estate data entry and reception duties. Responsibilities include data management, administrative support, and clerical tasks.
While training on the MLS® system will be provided; the successful candidate must be proficient in typing and have a good understanding of spelling and punctuation. The candidate must be able to interact positively with members and staff and be willing to perform miscellaneous office administration and mailroom tasks as required.
The part-time position is for 20 hours a week within normal office hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. There is flexibility in choosing start and end times.
Duties:
- Answer phone calls and directing them to the appropriate staff members
- Greet visitors and providing them with information or assistance
- Enter data into computerized databases and Excel spreadsheets
- Verify accuracy and completeness of data
- Update and maintain electronic and physical files
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and organizing documents
- Assist with other clerical duties as needed
In addition to data entry tasks, you will also be responsible for handling reception duties such as greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members. You will also be expected to provide general administrative support to the office manager and other staff as needed. As the first point of contact for our organization, you will maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. You will also ensure that the reception area is clean and organized.
Qualifications:
-Proficient in data entry and computer systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in an office or clerical role an asset
- Familiarity with filing systems and record keeping
