Job Summary:
The Junior Merchandiser supports the execution of in-store visual merchandising standards across all retail locations. This is a hands-on, field-focused role primarily responsible for in-store setup, fixture installation, and display execution, along with basic coordination and follow-up with store teams. This role works closely with the Merchandising team to ensure consistent and effective presentation across all locations. This role is ideal for individuals early in their career who are eager to gain hands-on experience and grow within retail merchandising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of visual merchandising standards and display guidelines across all store locations
- Perform hands-on merchandising work, including fixture assembly, display setup, signage installation, and in-store adjustments
- Assist with store setups, merchandising updates, and rollout of display initiatives
- Visit store locations to support execution, take photos, and report on merchandising conditions
- Identify basic merchandising issues and follow up with store teams to ensure timely corrections
- Support store teams with merchandising execution and basic setup guidance as needed
- Assist in communicating merchandising updates and ensuring follow-through with store teams
- Support the implementation of in-store marketing materials, signage, and display elements
- Assist with display testing and setup when developing merchandising guidelines
- Maintain accurate records, photos, and documentation of store execution and updates
- Travel to store locations as required to support installations and merchandising activities
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail with a good sense of visual presentation
- Comfortable performing hands-on work, including fixture setup and physical tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Physically capable of lifting up to 30 kg and assisting with the movement and installation of heavy fixtures (team lifting may be required)
- Available to work flexible hours and travel to store locations as required; a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are preferred
