Precision Motor Worx is seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance, repairs and inspections, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to vehicle pickup. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have dealership or mechanic experience, along with mechanical knowledge, to effectively assess customer needs and recommend appropriate services.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival, establishing rapport and trust
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly, explaining necessary services and options
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services based on vehicle needs and customer preferences
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of service orders, repairs performed, and customer interactions
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Assist with management of parts and supplies as needed
- Promote services, specials, and maintenance packages to enhance sales opportunities
Experience
- Prior experience in a dealership or automotive repair environment is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems is essential for understanding repair needs and explaining services to customers
- Strong background in customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Sales experience, including upselling techniques, is a plus
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures ensures accurate transactions
- Previous experience working with automotive repair processes enhances efficiency in this role
- Previous experience with Protractor will be considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Suite will also be considered an asset
