We’re Hiring Sewer & Water Pipelayer!
We’re looking for experienced individuals to join our team full-time. If you have a strong work ethic and experience in underground utility work, we want to hear from you!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and understand construction drawings, elevations, and grade requirements
- Set up, use, and maintain grade lasers, and interpret grade stakes accurately
- Use hand tools safely and effectively, including cutting pipe made from various materials
- Install sewer and water infrastructure, including watermain, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems
- Apply solid pipelaying knowledge, techniques, and best practices on the job
- Work confidently with pipe, fittings, and related materials used in sewer and watermain construction
- Work well as part of a crew while taking direction from the foreman
- Safely hand-dig, locate, and expose underground utilities when required
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and with limited supervision
- Follow safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture on site
What You Bring
- Experience as a pipelayer or pipelayer helper
- Knowledge of grades, slopes and how to use pipe laser
- Mathematical skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including kneeling and standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads
- Ensure safety is a top priority at all times
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to self-start and take initiative on tasks
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ideally has valid Class 5 Driver’s license
- Ability to work in a high pace environment and adhere to schedules and deadlines
