Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Automotive Mechanic Apprentice to work closely alongside an experienced technician. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values safety, and is looking to develop their skills in a steady, well-organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and learn directly from a licensed technician
- Perform basic vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs as skills develop
- Operate shop tools, equipment, and a skid steer safely
- Assist with hauling equipment and materials
- Secure loads using proper tie-down and load securement methods
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow company procedures and safety standards
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Registered in, or working toward, an Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship
- Clean driver’s abstract (required)
- Experience operating a skid steer or similar equipment (required)
- Experience with hauling and proper load securement / tie-downs (required)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently when required
