Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver specializing in sand hauling to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting sand and other bulk materials using heavy-duty trucks, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Operate Class 1 commercial trucks to haul sand and bulk materials between designated sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, freight handling, and driving regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with forklift operation for loading and unloading materials at various locations.
Experience
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in freight transportation, especially in bulk material hauling like sand, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to handle minor vehicle issues on-site or en route.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and freight handling is essential. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to safety, efficiency, and professionalism in the transportation of bulk materials.
