Overview
We are seeking experienced Long Haul AZ Drivers to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial trucks over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight across various regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Candidates with skills in forklift operation and automotive repair are a plus, as they can contribute to overall fleet maintenance and cargo handling.
Duties
- Safely operate long-haul commercial vehicles across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards
- Manage freight documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle operability
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or vehicle issues
- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of the truck and related equipment throughout the journey
- Assist with warehouse operations or cargo handling when required
Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (AZ endorsement preferred) with a clean driving record
- Prior experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts is advantageous
- Experience with freight handling, loading/unloading procedures, and cargo securing techniques
- Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
- Proven ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and safety compliance
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
