The Job:
As a PLC Programmer you will be responsible for working independently and as a team to meet the needs of our customers, through troubleshooting, programming, and maintaining all that is required to complete the job. PLC Programmers must have strong communication skills and use that to build relationships within the office and with customers. It is crucial that our PLC Programmer promotes a positive company image through consistency, quality, safety, and professionalism.

The Responsibilities:
- Prepare functional descriptions of process controls and sequence of operations
- Support and develop PLC and HMI programs for use on industrial equipment
- Integration of specialized hardware and software into manufacturing systems to enhance automation and control with an emphasis on efficiency
- Commission and troubleshoot robotic applications
- Solve programming/electrical issues for customers
- Panel design (AUTOCAD)
- Work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Meet with Project Managers to discuss job requirements and deadlines
- Create CAD drawings for assembly and wiring control panels and instrumentation
- Assist with specifications for purchase of electrical components
- Provide quick response to emergency service requirements, this may include shifts outside regular working and weekends
- Provide electrical machine commissioning and/or technical support both on and off-site
- Travel to jobsite for field installation work, when required
- Other duties as required
The Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a controls or programmer position
- Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Additional relevant certificates and training would be considered an asset
- Some infrequent travel may be required

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
