Overview
We are seeking several dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to perfection and served in a timely manner to work the pizza/pasta line.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including chopping, grilling, frying, and baking.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry.
- Experience working in a restaurant or similar food service environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
