About Toronto Athletic FC (TAFC)

Communicate availability and schedules with Academy Directors

Attend required TAFC orientations, trainings, tournaments, and club activities
-
Participate in mandatory education workshops, tryouts, parent meetings, and player selection
-
Collaborate with academy staff (assistant coaches, goalkeeper coaches, camps, grassroots programs)
-
Recruit and retain players to maintain roster requirements
-
Comply with all Ontario Soccer policies and regulations
-
Plan and deliver age-appropriate training sessions focused on technical, tactical, and game understanding
-
Coach 2–3 training sessions per week
-
Attend all indoor and outdoor games for assigned team
-
Develop player development plans in collaboration with the Academy Technical Director
-
Foster a positive, growth-focused environment that supports athlete development on and off the field
-
Adhere to all TAFC policies and operational guidelines
-
Notify Academy Directors in advance of absences and ensure proper coverage
-
Complete all team administrative duties (carding, game sheets, team lists)
-
Manage team communication via email, TeamSnap, and WhatsApp in accordance with club policies
-
Ensure participant safety and report injuries or safety concerns promptly
-
1–3 years of soccer coaching experience working with children or youth
-
Strong leadership and role-model qualities
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to mentor and develop young athletes
-
Understanding of holistic player development
-
Professional, organized, punctual, and detail-oriented
-
Team-oriented with the ability to promote positive club culture
