Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Steel Stud Framer to join our construction team. This role involves the installation of steel framing components for commercial and residential buildings, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in framing, carpentry, and the use of various hand and power tools, with a strong focus on safety and precision. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of construction skills including blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing layouts.
- Install steel studs and track systems according to project specifications and building codes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble framing components.
- Perform concrete forming, concrete finishing, and related tasks as needed for structural support.
- Assist with siding installation, restoration projects, and other related construction activities.
- Operate heavy equipment when required for material handling or site preparation.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or framing with specific knowledge of steel stud installation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and woodworking techniques.
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration is a plus.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in a construction environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work at heights if necessary.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Valid certifications or training in welding or concrete finishing are advantageous but not required.
