DeFord Contracting Inc. is looking for an experienced Flagger for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area. DeFord is a leading contractor in Edmonton, Alberta, specializing in municipal road projects, subdivision land development, parking lots, and other key infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely through construction zones
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators and crew members to maintain site safety
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices (cones, signs, barricades)
- Monitor traffic patterns and adjust flagging strategies accordingly
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the site supervisor
- Perform basic labor tasks as required when not actively flagging
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience of Flagging and Traffic Control for civil construction/road construction
- Strong awareness of safety regulations and situational awareness
- Must possess good communication and ability to follow direction
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 or 1 considered an asset) with a clean driving Abstract.
