Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registered Physiotherapy Administrator to oversee the administrative operations within a dynamic healthcare environment. This role involves managing patient records, coordinating schedules, and supporting clinical staff to ensure seamless delivery of physiotherapy services. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, familiarity with medical and dental office procedures, and experience in healthcare settings, including hospital or nursing environments. A background in human resources and supervising staff is a plus, along with proficiency in electronic medical records and medical terminology. Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, billing, and documentation using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix.
- Coordinate with physiotherapists, medical staff, and external providers to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
- Oversee administrative staff, providing supervision and training as needed to maintain high standards of service.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
- Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and inventory management for the physiotherapy department.
- Support human resources functions including onboarding new staff, managing leave requests, and ensuring compliance with employment policies.
- Handle correspondence, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications with patients.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare protocols related to acute care settings and hospital procedures when applicable.
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental/medical office management software.
- Strong knowledge of electronic medical records systems and healthcare documentation standards.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy, nursing, and acute care environments.
- Experience in human resources functions such as staffing, supervision, and employee relations.
- Previous experience working in dental offices, hospitals, or medical clinics is highly desirable.
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining quality service delivery.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and external partners. This position is integral to supporting the clinical team’s success by ensuring efficient administrative operations that enhance patient care quality and organizational effectiveness.
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
