We are currently seeking a Dispatcher - Service who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about planning, communication, and helping a team run smoothly. The Dispatcher role plays a crucial part in daily operations, coordinating schedules for our field technicians, ensuring timely responses to service calls, and maintaining clear communication with both clients and crew members. This role requires excellent organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use dispatch software to manage schedules and track technicians – ServiceTitan.
- Answer phones; create and schedule jobs in ServiceTitan to job sites based on priority and availability.
- Manage small scale jobs and projects.
- Monitor job progress and provide updates to customers and management.
- Respond to customer inquiries and service requests in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, work orders, and technician hours.
- Issue purchase orders to technicians.
- Assist with the onboarding of new hires.
- Schedule deliveries.
- Liaise with operations and service managers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Provide safety documentation to various clients and organizations.
- Participates in monthly safety meetings.
- Provide other administrative, dispatch and operational support as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a dispatching, scheduling, or coordination role (preferably in trades, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical services)
- Experience with using ServiceTitan or similar operating system, intermediate Excel, and keyboarding skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail being top priorities.
- Work equally well independently and within the team.
- Knowledge of the Edmonton area is a strong asset.
- Customer service experience is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
