Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join our growing PM team. In this role, you will oversee and manage all aspects of assigned projects including contract management/negotiations, material supply, cost management, crew management and scheduling. This role will oversee a Project Coordinator and report directly to the Senior Project Manager, while working closely with the President.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee all aspects of assigned projects to ensure that all projects are completed on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Draft project proposals/tenders and manage sub-trades.
- Manage performance and progress of projects, including cost, scheduled and quality.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation and coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
- Manage cost and tracking for each individual project.
- Perform site visits to monitor specific processes and procedures are being performed correctly and efficiently.
- Read and interpret construction drawings & specifications.
- Work with Site Superintendents/Foremen and other parties to ensure deliveries are coordinated and expedited.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with vendors, third party contacts, consultants, engineers, and subtrade partners.
- Create and maintain thorough project documentation.
- Work in conjunction with other PM’s and the President to best manage crew and equipment placement.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings.
- Work with company safety department and Superintendents to ensure projects are carried out in a safe manner in compliance with company safety policies.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Construction/Drilling industry experience preferred.
- PMP or CAPM preferred.
- Willing to drive to multiples job sites around Lower Mainland.
- Ability to learn and work under the supervision of the President.
- Solid relationship with trade partners across the city.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to navigate technical documents relevant to the work.
- Knowledge of varying provincial legislation pertaining to the work.
Please note that this position is On-site and located in Langley, British Columbia.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
