We are seeking a caring, confident, energetic, outgoing and reliable Casual Early Childhood Educator to join our team! This is an on call position only
Position Details:
- Hours: varies
- Start Date: As Soon As Possible
- Age Group: Children ages 12 months to 12 years (age group will vary daily)
Requirements:
- Must be reliable
- Must have reliable transportation
- Outgoing, positive, and professional attitude
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standard First Aid with CPR certification (required). Must currently have.
- 30/60/90 hour course in "Introduction To Early Childhood Education" would be considered an asset.
- Clean and up-to-date criminal record check (required), and Clean Social Development Check (will be done upon hire).
- Early Childhood Education degree or diploma is an asset but not required.
- Must be willing to take professional development. 10 hours/year.
- Previous experience working with children is required
Job Duties Include:
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children on an on call basis.
- Supporting children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Assisting with daily routines such as meals, rest time, and transitions
- Supervising both indoor and outdoor play, ensuring active engagement and safety
- Communicating effectively with children, families, and team members
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Following licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies
