SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) / AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) - Jr Programmer
Link2 Manufacturing is an Electronics Contract Board Manufacturing facility, located in Delta BC. We specialize in complex and high-density assemblies consisting of 01005, 0201, micro QFN, 0.35 pitch BGAs and POP (package on package)
We are currently looking to fill the following position - SMT/AOI - Jr Programmer
Job Description - (but not limited to) -
- SMT Programming: Utilize GC-PLACE to process client Gerber Files and extract completed PCB data to generate accurate programs into SIPLACE PRO for ASMPT SIPLACE machines.
- AOI Programming: Develop and optimize inspection programs for Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) machine to ensure quality control before products move to the next department.
- Production Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve program related issues on the production line in real time effectively to minimize downtime.
- Data Verification: Cross reference customer BOMs, XY Coordinates and special instructions with Gerber data to ensure accuracy before production starts.
- Proactive Revision Control: Manage and verify technical UpRevisions to ensure program integrity. This includes auditing changes between revisions to prevent errors and ensuring both SMT and AOI programs are perfectly synchronized with the latest customer requirements.
Required Skill Set and Qualities -
- Technical Expertise: Education in electronics / mechatronics is preferred. Experience with GC-PLACE or similar CAM software, familiar with SIPLACE PRO programming environments is a strong asset.
- PCB Workflow Knowledge: A solid understanding of the PCB manufacturing process and how data flows from Gerber to the final inspected product.
- Proactive Problem-Spotting: Actively look for potential errors in the Gerber or BOM files and report mismatched data or missing updates immediately, rather than waiting for an issue to happen on the production line.
- Ownership of Data: Take full responsibility for the accuracy of the program and double verify that the latest customer requirements are applied correctly.
- Exceptional Attention to Detail: Given that minor programming errors can lead to significant production defects, the candidate MUST be highly meticulous.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose and fix technical issues under pressure.
- Reliability & Professionalism: A proactive team player who can take direction well and maintain consistent output.
Pay: $19.50-$24.00 per hour
