Position:
Maintenance Power Engineer
Reporting to:
Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Power Engineer is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems in a food processing plant. This includes performing daily pre-operational inspections and necessary repairs.
Main Duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per work order requests, equipment stoppages, or breakdowns.
- Adhere to and utilize company policies, procedures, and HACCP regulations.
- Ensure a safe work environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors.
- Work in a safe and responsive manner, respecting workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- 4th Class Power Engineering (training provided if the successful candidate lacks experience).
- Maintenance experience.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems, with the ability to use power and manual tools.
- Opportunity for in-house training towards a Millwright Journeyman Certificate.
- Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.46 per hour
