MANDATE
The mission of the EOCFHT is to provide comprehensive primary health care, mainly to French-speaking residents in East Ottawa, with a focus on overall well-being.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Provide comprehensive primary health care to a diverse patient population of all ages and their families, while considering the social determinants of health. This includes health assessments, diagnosis, screening, counselling, education, treatment, referrals, and consideration of psychological, social, and environmental risk factors.
- Act as a resource person by providing expertise and support to the interdisciplinary team, as well as consultation services to nurse practitioners.
- Follow best practices to ensure medical records are current, complete, and accurate.
- Be available on call as needed to meet operational requirements and provide services in a variety of settings, such as different service locations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Functional fluency in both official languages, French and English, spoken and written mandatory
- Strong commitment to community-based health care values and service delivery
- Sensitivity to the needs and realities of a diverse client population with multiple and complex issues
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication, collaboration, teamwork, and engagement skills within an interdisciplinary setting
- Strong adaptability, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and stress management skills
- Effective time management and workload management abilities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records
- Availability to work some evening shifts
- Experience using electronic medical record systems, specifically Telus Practice Solutions
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Family Medicine from a recognized university
- Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada
- License to practice issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Experience practicing family medicine, preferably in a community setting
Reason for Coverage : Summer Locum
Work Period : July 1 to August 31, 2026
Location : Ottawa East
Schedule : 8h/day (full day) et 4h/day (half day)
Some evening shifts (4:00 pm to 8:00 pm) required
Possibility of full-time position
Compensation : Hourly rate of $135.00 - maximum of 8 hours per day
