Position Overview:
We are seeking friendly, reliable, and experienced swim instructors to join our team for the summer in a fixed-location role at a local hotel pool. As an instructor, you’ll teach back-to-back lessons in a structured environment, working with both private and small group sessions. This is an ideal position for instructors who enjoy a consistent schedule, steady teaching hours, and working in a professional aquatic setting. In addition to hotel pool instruction, this position may also include part-time opportunities teaching private backyard swim lessons based on instructor availability and client demand.
Responsibilities:
- Teach private and small group swim lessons at a designated hotel pool
- Deliver lessons tailored to each swimmer’s age and ability (using the Swim for Life program if requested)
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Provide feedback and progress updates to parents/guardians
- Manage time efficiently between consecutive lessons
- Work independently and take full responsibility for lessons and client interactions on-site
- Arrive on time and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor
Qualifications:
- Swim Instructor certification (Lifesaving Society)
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C (current)
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children
- Ability to work independently and confidently, as instructors will be teaching on their own for most shifts
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Valid National Lifeguard (NL) certification preferred (or Bronze Cross with relevant experience)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$55.00 per hour
