Job description
Zoo maintenance & revitalization , 8 hrs/ day for 14 weeks. This is a Government of Canada subsidized youth worker program. Must be a Canadian citizen and be 18-30 years old inclusive.
Basic construction and landscaping skills an asset. We are constructing several large projects this year. A new peacock cage, caretaker living quarters, Public outdoor onsite washroom on lower section of Zoo.
Submit a cover letter with your resume that include details of what kinds of related experience you have, carpentry, concrete, excavation.... farm work eg.
This is mostly outside work and somewhat physically demanding.
This is a great place to learn new skills and participate hands on with this Zoo/Farm.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 16 weeks
Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
