Our client in Brantford, Ontario is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Millwright to join their maintenance team. This position is responsible for the safe repair, troubleshooting, installation, and preventative maintenance of industrial machinery within a fully automated plant environment.

Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Wage Range: $37.00 – $46.00 per hour
Swing Shift: Days 7am-7pm (12 hrs) for 2 weeks and then rotating to Evenings 7pm-7am (12 hrs) for 2 weeks

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repairs
- Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain plant machinery and automated production equipment
- Assist in the installation, construction, and modification of industrial equipment, including robotics
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department
Preventative Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production equipment
- Monitor equipment performance and address potential failures proactively
- Accurately record and document all servicing and repair activities
Inventory & Parts Management
- Maintain and organize maintenance parts inventory
- Ensure critical spare parts are available to minimize downtime
- Support inventory tracking and replenishment processes
Communication & Coordination
- Review daily maintenance logs and repair requests
- Coordinate effectively with the Maintenance Manager and team members
- Maintain strong working relationships across departments
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safe work practices and company safety standards
- Operate vehicles, power tools, and equipment safely
- Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures consistently and correctly
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience working with HMI systems
- Solid understanding of Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable performing shift work
- Team-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building skills
