Neegan Technical Services is looking for qualified applicants for the position of Extraction Lab Sampler.
This position requires employees to:
- Have SAFETY as a first priority and, through his/her actions, demonstrate the importance of the following, but not limited to, all Safe Work Practices and Safe Work Procedures
- Always wear proper PPE for the task
- Drive regularly throughout the plant site, including congested operating areas, while following all site traffic rules and safety requirements

Collect oil, tailings, water, and process samples from extraction units according to established procedures from various collection sample points within the extraction unit

Label, preserve, and transport samples to the laboratory while maintaining sample integrity

Perform routine field inspections and verify sampling equipment is clean and operational.
- Complete sampling logs, chain-of-custody forms, and other required documentation accurately.
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Communicate with laboratory personnel and field operations to ensure timely sample collection
- Maintain housekeeping standards at sampling locations and report equipment issues or unsafe conditions.
- FLRA’s to be completed and signed by each team member every day. Also, any hazardous conditions and near misses need to be reported to the supervisor
- Additional duties as required
The qualifications required for this position are:
- Class 4 Power engineering or process engineering diploma is an asset
- Experience in oil and gas field sampling or laboratory operations is an asset
- CSTS & OSSA or BSO or CSO certificates
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and computer skills
