Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist/Kennel Help for our doggie daycare. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, ensuring the safety and well-being of the animals, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will be friendly, reliable, and capable of handling physical tasks such as heavy lifting. This position offers an engaging work environment where animal care and customer interaction are at the forefront. This is an extremely busy work environment so multi tasking is a necessity. Approximately 30 hours per week and must be available to work anytime between 6 am and 8 pm on a rotating 7 days per week work schedule. All resumes will be considered with special attention being given to ones being dropped off at 363 FInley Avenue between 9 am and 6:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with professionalism and friendliness
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures for dogs and clients
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries efficiently
- Assist with kennel cleaning, feeding, and monitoring pets throughout the day
- Perform light to heavy lifting tasks related to animal supplies and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including kennels and common areas
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals in care at all times
- Support team members with daily operational tasks as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in customer service is preferred but not required; a friendly attitude and strong communication skills are essential
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting of supplies or animals when necessary
- Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care is highly valued
- Previous experience in a kennel, pet daycare, or similar environment is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific duties
