Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and oversee the company's payroll functions. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and support human resources and accounting teams. Proficiency with payroll software and accounting systems is essential to streamline processes, ensure data integrity, and facilitate effective reporting. Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule using payroll systems such as QuickBooks, Workday, ADP, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian
- Maintain and update employee records within HRIS platforms and accounting software like QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or other relevant systems
- Perform data entry related to employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks related to payroll expenses
- Support human resources functions including benefits administration and employee data management
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate account reconciliation and bookkeeping activities
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role with strong understanding of payroll processes
- Proficiency in payroll software such as Workday, ADP, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or equivalent platforms
- Experience with accounting software including QuickBooks or similar systems
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and their integration with payroll functions
- Familiarity with accounting principles related to accounts payable/receivable and account reconciliation
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting discrepancies and ensuring compliance
- Background in human resources functions is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
This position is integral to maintaining efficient payroll operations while supporting broader financial and HR initiatives within the organization.
Pay: $45,611.60-$55,000.00 per year
