Evening Logistics Clerk required for busy 3PL in Mississauga.
Shift hr: 4pm -12am
Onsite Monday – Friday
Job Description
- Dispatch local pickups and cross border deliveries in accordance with customer requirements, SOPs, and service level agreements
- Coordinate daily cargo movements with approved service providers, including appointment scheduling and route optimization
- Monitor shipments through all milestones to ensure on‑time Pickup & Delivery
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate delays or service exceptions
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in systems, including dispatch events, delivery orders, and status updates
- Perform tracking and tracing activities via workboard and maintain shipment visibility until final delivery
- Ensure proper exception coding and documentation for delays, failed deliveries, or accessorials
- Support timely billing by ensuring cost is properly logged and documented
- Provide proactive updates to internal members (Product, CFS, Customer Service) on delivery status and exceptions
- Communicate directly with service providers to resolve service issues and confirm execution details
- Notify customers of delays, appointment changes, or service impacts when required
- Maintain professional and service‑oriented communication at all times
- Work collaboratively with other teams to balance workloads and service demands
- Assist with training or guidance for new team members as needed
- Identify process gaps or improvement opportunities and raise them to supervision
